Three-Line USDOT Door Lettering for Both Sides

Each door-lettering set contains three lines:

  1. Your company name
  2. Your city and state or MC number
  3. Your USDOT number

Two identical sets are included so one can be installed on each side of the power unit. The company-name line is produced approximately 3½ inches tall, the city-and-state or MC-number line approximately 2 inches tall, and the USDOT-number line approximately 3 inches tall. If you prefer different measurements for each line, please enter that in order notes.

Layout note: When the second line contains a city and state, the USDOT-number line is produced approximately 3 inches tall. When the layout contains both an MC number and a USDOT number, both number lines are typically produced at matching heights of approximately 2 to 3 inches in height.

Each complete three-line layout is produced on a single sheet measuring approximately 24 inches wide by 12 inches high. Longer company names or third-line information may require proportional adjustment to fit the available width.

The lettering is die-cut from durable outdoor adhesive vinyl and arrives pre-spaced on application tape. There is no printed or clear background. After installation, only the individual letters and numbers remain on the vehicle.

Choose a City and State or MC Number for the Third Line

The third line may display either your city and state or your MC number. Enter the complete text exactly as you want it produced, including “MC” before the number when applicable.

Customers are responsible for determining which information is appropriate for their carrier, vehicle, operating authority, and jurisdictions. The third line is not represented as a universal federal marking requirement.

Available Lettering Colors and Materials

  • Black, white, and available standard vinyl colors
  • Available reflective vinyl colors

The selected vinyl color and material apply to both main door-lettering sets and both fleet numbers. Select a color that contrasts sharply with the vehicle paint. Your vehicle color will serve as the background.

Two Matching 3-Inch Fleet Numbers

The package includes two matching fleet-number decals, one for each side of the truck. Each fleet number may contain up to five digits and will be produced in the same vinyl color and material selected for the main lettering.

Fleet numbers help drivers, dispatchers, fleet managers, and maintenance departments identify individual vehicles. They are separate from the carrier’s USDOT number.

Annual Vehicle Inspection Decal

The included 4-inch × 4-inch annual vehicle inspection decal provides space to display an inspection date and expiration date after a qualifying annual inspection has been completed.

Important: The decal does not perform, certify, or replace the required vehicle inspection. It does not replace the inspection report, maintenance records, or other required documentation.

Driver’s Daily Paper Log Book

The included paper logbook provides a convenient way to record duty-status information when paper records are required, including certain ELD-malfunction situations.

Drivers and motor carriers remain responsible for following all applicable Hours of Service, ELD-malfunction reporting, recordkeeping, and documentation requirements.

Premium Felt-Edge Application Squeegee

The included premium squeegee measures 4 inches wide × 2¾ inches high. Its firm blue plastic body helps apply even pressure, while the soft black felt edge glides over vinyl and transfer tape to help reduce scratching during installation.

Is This the Right New Truck Package for Me?

Choose the Expanded 3-Line Package if you want your door lettering to include your company name, city and state or MC number, and USDOT number.
