Your USDOT number may look perfectly fine when you are standing next to your truck.

But that is not how inspectors see it.

Take a few minutes and walk about 50 feet away from your truck.

Ask yourself:

• Can I read the USDOT number easily without straining?
• Does the lettering stand out clearly from the paint color?
• Is the decal still crisp, clean, and undamaged?
• Is the placement flat and unobstructed?
• Would this still be easy to read in poor weather or lower light?
